Algiers- It was impossible for us to get in touch with the director Messaoud Laïb to learn more about the leak of DVD copies of the film "Hasni, the last song" which coincided with the 15th anniversary of the death of the artist.

  Today, September 29, is the fifteenth anniversary of the death of Hasni. It was a sad day this September 29, 1994 when the murderous hands ended the life of the nightingale near his home in Gambetta. Three bullets loosely drawn hit Hasni in the  neck and shoulder. Three balls which were intended to silence him but the nightingale still sings and more beautifully.
  
  Coinciding with the anniversary of his death, a news circulates about a possible leak of illegal copies of the film "Hasni, the last song," sold on the black market on the form of DVDs. We attempted to contact the film's director, Messaoud Laïb but in vain, his phone is always off, which requires us to publish this information until the news is confirmed or refuted by the director or the film production company "Tamaris."
  
  Director Messaoud Laïb had already once postponed the film's release because of certain routine administrative procedures at the Ministry of Culture after the film was changed in 35 mm and then subjected to color processing, Laïb stated in this direction he had more time to distribute the film. Adding the value of the film is not affected because it has the value of the deceased singer Cheb Hasni and represents his artistic life. Laïb denied that Hasni’s family was behind the delay of the film. "There is no connection with the film."
  
  Knowing that Hasni’s film provoked a controversy between the family of the deceased artist and producer and director of the film after the accusations by Hasni’s widow, Malika Zehzouh who considered it a harm to her person. Hasni's son, Abdullah Chekroune was also part in the case.
  
  Despite this, the film has managed to reunite Hasni’s family with his widow and son. His mother and brothers had refused to recognize this marriage, but during the reconciliation, everything was in order and the two families met.
  
  Hasni would have a good rest in his grave after years of disputes and disagreements between the members of his family on one hand and his widow and his unique son on the other hand.
