Algiers- The play "Shahrazad, the lady of ladies", presented Monday night at Mahieddine-Bachtarzi National Theater in Algiers, was like a showdown between two persons bordering on hostility but none of them could do without the other.
- Inspired by tales of Arabian nights, the play reflected through Shahrazad, a rebel, and Shahrayar, a proud king, deposed and appalled, the traditional "duel" between man and woman where each party seeks to impose his or her ideas . Classic scenes in which man wants to be domineering and authoritarian decision maker while the woman "fights" to assert herself, change men’s ideas and enjoy all the equalities, constituted all of the acts.
