URGENT Cheb Mami’s application for parole dismissed

Melun (France), October 12, 2010 - The French court dismissed the application for parole by the Algerian rai star Cheb Mami, who was sentenced in July 2009 to five years in prison for an attempted forced abortion of his ex-girlfriend, announced Tuesday the artist’s lawyer.
