- The project of this channel in the Balkans began with Al Jazeera's purchase of a local TV station (NTV99) in 2010. The initial investment is approximately $ 20 million, according to the director of El Jazeera Balkans.
- At first, El Jazeera Balkans will broadcast continuously information, a program with guests, documentaries and the program of Al-Jazeera in English, but intends to produce in the future regional news broadcasts throughout the day.
