East-West Highway: Oran - Algiers Junction in late 2009

The direct connection between Oran and Algiers in East-West Highway will end in 2009, Minister of Public Works, Amar Ghoul announced Sunday Relizane.

• In a press briefing held on the sidelines of the bringing into service of the third and final section of east-west highway running across Relizane province, the minister said that the direct connection Oran-Algiers will be completed in a few days, i.e. r before the end of the year and the deadline.

• Underlining the shift in work quality, Amar Ghoul said that this work will continue from the section of Relizane towards the province of Mascara, Sidi Bel Abbes and Tlemcen, for the opening of the motorway in Algeria’s western region before delivery deadlines.
