Bouteflika firmly determined to protect national economy

Algiers- President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Tuesday underlined the State's determination to "protect the national economy from parasitic practices and fraud."
- In a message addressed to Algerian workers on the occasion of the double anniversary of the creation of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA) and the nationalization of hydrocarbons, President Bouteflika pointed out that "the State remains firmly determined to protect the national economy. And to that end, it has set up legal frameworks and prevention mechanisms against parasitic practices and fraud." "The fight against corruption in all its forms continues in accordance with the law, which is itself in line with the related international conventions and treaties, as Algeria was among their first signatories," the Head of State said.
