Yousfi "Our oil revenues could increase by 20%"
ALGIERS- The hydrocarbon revenues in Algeria could increase by 20% in 2011, an increase of approximately $ 11 billion, said Wednesday in Algiers, Algerian Energy Minister Youcef Yousfi.
- "Our revenues from oil export in 2011 could exceed those of the previous year. If oil prices remain stable at current levels, we hope to increase by 20%," said Mr. Yousfi, whose remarks are reported by the news agency APS.
If this prediction were to be confirmed, it would result in an increase of just over $ 11 billion with more than $ 67 billion in oil revenues in 2011 against 56.1 billion dollars in 2010.
In 2010, hydrocarbon production in Algeria amounted to nearly 214 million tons oil equivalent (toe), according to the oil company Sontrach.
