WHO: 105 confirmed swine flu cases worldwide
The number of people infected by swine flu has raised to 105 worldwide, according to the latest figures released by the World Health Organization (WHO) in the night of Tuesday to Wednesday.
- The WHO indicated that 64 swine influenza cases were recorded in the United States, 26 cases, including 7 deadly, in Mexico, 6 cases in Canada, 3 cases in New Zealand, 2 cases in the United Kingdom, 2 cases in Israel, and 2 cases in Spain.
- The cases have been confirmed by WHO referential laboratories. The organization noted that its figures were often below those provided by the concerned countries because of the checking procedures carried out by the WHO after they were announced.
