Jordan: the king disguises to make inspections

image

Camouflaged in a black dishdasha and a red and white kefieh, King Abdullah II of Jordan made an incognito visit Wednesday in a centre of the Ministry of Health to check the quality of services, according to a Jordanian official.

  •     According to this source, the king has come to be recognized by several people.

“The king, who also relied on a cane to walk, visited the centre this morning and mingled with the patient to inspect the care,” said the official under cover of anonymity.

King Abdullah, like his late father, Hussein, is a ‘recidivist’ since his accession to the throne in 1999, he has ‘disguised’ as a taxi driver or an old man to mingle incognito with his subjects.
