Gaza: At least 40 dead in an attack against a school
At least 40 people who took refuge in a school run by the United Nations in the northern Gaza Strip, were killed Tuesday in an Israeli attack in the perimeter of the facility, according to a new review of medical sources.
- An Israeli aircraft fired four rockets into the perimeter of the Al-Fakhoura school in Jabaliya in which hundreds of Palestinians refugees, flew the fighting in the Gaza Strip or whose homes were destroyed, according to witnesses.
Dozens of them were at school when the Israeli attack took place.
"We have counted 30 dead and at least 40 wounded in the raid near the school of Al-Fakhoura, told AFP the director of the hospital Kamal Edwan in northern Gaza Strip.
The other victims, including at least ten deaths, were evacuated to the Al-Awdah, also in the north, said the medical sources.
