Tunisia: a third case of swine flu detected
TUNIS - A third case of influenza A (H1N1) was detected in Tunisia on a 38-year-old woman returning from a trip in Saudi Arabia, announced Wednesday evening the state television TV-7.
- “The infected person is a Tunisian arrived Tuesday from Saudi Arabia, where she was on a professional mission,” said television mentioning the National Observatory for the new and emerging diseases.
Nasopharyngeal samples have confirmed an attack of influenza A (H1N1), said this source, adding that the infected person and her family are subject of preventive and curative measures.
The woman, whose identity was not revealed, was put under medical surveillance in her home and her health is “good”, the television said.
This is the third case of influenza A (H1N1) recorded in Tunisia after the announcement last Monday of the first two cases found on two students arrived from the United States.
