Morocco: Five cases of swine flu detected
Five new cases of swine influenza have been recorded in Morocco, said a press release Friday of the Moroccan Ministry of Health.
- Among the five confirmed cases, two are located in Marrakech, one of whom has already left the hospital, two in Meknes and Casablanca. The last three people returned from Canada, said the release which stressed that these people are under treatment with no sign of seriousness.
The ministry said that at this day, sixteen cases were confirmed in Morocco. - In the World, a total of 238 deaths, out of 55,867 cases, related to the AH1N1 swine flu virus have been recorded in 109 countries, including Algeria, according to the latest World Health Organization report issued on Wednesday.
- That is an increase of 3,707 new cases and 7 deaths compared to Monday’s release, in which WHO reported 52,160 swine flu cases and 231 deaths.
- Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Uruguay, have recorded the highest number of new cases, says WHO.
