Opening Ceremony of 16th MG: Typically Mediterranean Show

PESCARA (Italy) - A typically Mediterranean colourful and musical show marked the opening ceremony of the 16th Mediterranean Games Friday evening in front of 25,000 packed spectators at Pescara...s Adriatico Stadium.

• The show started off with paintings representing the beauty and natural wealth of the Abruzzi Region, followed by a tribute to the big heart of the inhabitants of this region, to their courage and determination not to accept defeat after the earthquake that struck the region last April 6.
