DUBAI (UAE) - The Kuwaiti authorities have claimed Tuesday to have thwarted a plan by Al-Qaeda to attack an American base, reported the television channel Al-Arabiya, based in Dubai.

      Al-Arabiya, quoting a communication from the Kuwaiti authorities, said the security services of the oil emirate had dismantled a cell of six persons nominated as members of Al Qaeda who planned to attack a base used by the American army during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan which begins around August 20
