Italy: heat wave, alert in 12 cities

ROME- A heat wave has swept over Italy causing temperatures felt up to 41 ° C and the Civil Protection has launched an alert Wednesday for several major cities in the north and in the south.

        Tuesday, the maximum temperature recorded in Milan, the economic capital, was 35.4 ° C but the temperature was 41 ° C, according to the Ansa agency.

        The heat wave has also caused an increase in outbreaks of fire, with 72 recorded fire starts Tuesday in Italy, according to the Forestry Corps (CFS).
