Diamal Case: CFAO confirmed the firing of CEO and prepares a message of apology
A spokesman for the CFAO group based in Paris, confirmed Thursday, September 17 to TSA the dismissal of Servge Gurvil, Director General of the Algerian subsidiary Diamal. A new CEO will be appointed "probably next week," the source said.
- "Mr. Gurvil was convened Thursday morning and received in our offices in Paris, where he has been informed of his end of mission as Director General of Diamal," added the spokesman. The decision came after Mr. Gurvil has recurred in evoking the political situation in Algeria in his notes, despite a first warning received after writing a first document dated April 15 where he spoke on the Algerian political situation.
In addition, CFAO is preparing to send a message of apology to the Algerian officials cited in documents written by Serge Gurvil. "We currently have contact with Algerian authorities to conduct a process of apology," said the source.
