The U.S. worry about of China's military rise

- U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates warned Wednesday that the Chinese advanced weapons could soon undermine the American military dominance in the Pacific Ocean.

Speaking to the Air Force Association in Maryland (eastern USA) after the publication of a report Tuesday in which U.S. intelligence agencies are worried about the modernization of the Chinese military, Robert Gates said the maritime and air presence in the United States in the Pacific was facing a new threat from China.

About modernization of military programs such as China, Gates said he was "less concerned about the challenge they represent directly to the U.S. arsenal, as their ability to encroach on our freedom movement and restrict our strategic options."

More serious, Mr. Gates noted, how the People's Republic Invests in grand style in its "arsenal of anti-aircraft, marine, anti-satellite and ballistic missiles could endanger" the capicité of Washington to assist its allies in the Pacific.

Some analysts have already predicted that the U.S. military would soon lose the dominance of the oceans, space and cyberspace as countries like China are equipping themselves with sophisticated weapons and advanced missiles.

It is utmost stupid and outrageous for Gates comment. Does China have carriers powered by two nuclear generators, or the missile shield? What are the defense budgets in two countries? Compare facts and not BS.
