Five U.S. soldiers killed in southern Afghanistan

KABUL (Afghanistan) - Five U.S. soldiers were killed Thursday in southern Afghanistan, NATO said Friday, bringing to 368 the number of foreign soldiers who died in 2009, the deadliest year for international forces in eight years of war.
