Israel now has five of these U-212 ultra-modern submarines, whose range reaches 4500 kilometers and, according to foreign media, are capable of launching missiles with nuclear warheads.
So far, one of the Israeli submarine is permanently in the Gulf, another in the Mediterranean and the third off the coast of Israel, according to Israeli media.
Israel has taken delivery of two submarines while Tehran has carried out further missile tests and that were revealed by Iran of a hitherto secret nuclear site.
An Israeli submarine Dolphin class for the first time recently crossed the Suez Canal to anchor in the Red Sea rather than around the whole of Africa by the Cape of Good Hope as in the past.
