Geneva (Switzerland)- Pandemic influenza H1N1, also known as swine flu, has killed over 4,100 people in 191 countries and territories since the new virus emerged last March in Mexico, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Friday.

  • At least 4,108 deaths have been reported to WHO, that is 191 more deaths in one week, while worldwide there have been more than 340,000 laboratory confirmed cases of pandemic influenza H1N1, says WHO.
  •
  • Transmission of influenza virus continues to increase in the temperate regions of the northern hemisphere, especially in the United States. "In North America, influenza transmission is geographically widespread and continues to increase," adds WHO.

I'm not one to panic or become worried about a possible mutated more lethal version of H1N1 (that experts have said could very well happen)...

Yes no point in worrying, anyway I'm off to watch BBC TV Survivors now to take my mind of such things.
