Bus attacked in angola: complaint of Togo in Paris
PARIS - The Togolese government has complained in Paris for "terrorist act" against a rebel movement in Cabinda, headed by a French after the attack against the football team of Togo in Angola in January before the African cup nations, said on Thursday judicial sources.
- The complaint with a civil action against the rebel group of Cabinda, FLEC-AM (Forces for the Liberation of the State of Cabinda/ Military Position), which had claimed the attack against a bus carrying the Togolese team. The leaders of this complaint, filed by Togo and relatives of the two people killed during the attack on January 8, include "acts of terrorism", "murder and complicity to murder", "involuntary and voluntary attacking the lives of others" and "exposure of others to death risk and injury".
It will return to the French courts to determine whether it has jurisdiction to investigate this attack which has not made no French victim, said the legal source.
The Paris prosecutor's office opened a preliminary investigation along mid-January for "praising terrorism" after the words of the French of Cabinda, Mingas Rodrigues, secretary general of the rebel movement FLEC-AM, who had stated that the weapons wil "keep talking" after the attack.
The bus carrying the Togolese delegation to the African Cup of Nations (CAN-2010) in the Angolan enclave of Cabinda had been strafed by January 8, killing 2 deaths among its members.
The African Confederation (CAF) decided on Saturday to suspend for two African Cup of Nations Togo, who withdrew from the CAN-2010 government decision following the strafing of his delegation. - Ennaharonline/ M. O.
