Iraq: 38 dead and 110 injured in election violence
BAGHDAD - Thirty-eight people were killed and 110 wounded in violence that has bloodied Sunday parliamentary elections in Iraq, according to revised figures provided by a source at the Interior Ministry.
- A previous review reported 24 dead and 80 wounded.
Thirty people were killed in shelling and Katyusha rockets in Baghdad, including 25 in a collapsed building in the area north of Our Capital, hit by a rocket, the source said.
Eight other people died in bombings in the capital and its environs.
The number of injured stands at 110 across the country including 13 in shelling against a polling station in Iskandariyah, 50 miles south of Baghdad. Ennaharonline/ M. O.
