Indonesia: Earthquake of magnitude 7.0 off the Moluccas

JAKARTA - A strong earthquake of magnitude 7.0 occurred Sunday off the Maluku islands in eastern Indonesia, but no tsunami warning was triggered, seismologists have said.

  •    The earthquake occurred at 7:47 a.m. local time (12:47 GMT) about 132 km southeast of Labuha in the province of North Maluku, at a depth of 56 km, said the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology and geophysics.
