The former hostages of the terrorist organization, Pierre Camatte, who was released late last month, said that the head of the organization in the Sahel-Saharan Abdelhamid Abou Zeid, aka Abada Hamadou, had interrogated him for a day until France has accepted his conditions. An Arab citizen was the intermediary between the group of Abu Zeid and the Malian and French authorities, according to his sayings.
The French spy, who works for French intelligence, "recalls Abu Zeid had informed him last February 21, i.e. 48 hours before his release that his country's authorities and those of Mali had accepted the conditions.» Abu Zeid said the last day I met him, that the Malian and French authorities had responded positively and that four persons would be released in cons of my release" Camatte says, before adding: "I asked Abu Zeid, shall I be released tomorrow?" And the terrorist leader replied "no, you will be freed in 48 hours.”
On his kidnapping and conditions of his detention, Camatte says he was kidnapped while he was in the little hotel “Minaca” by ten men. "I struggled, and tried to run but they grabbed and hit me," he said. He added that terrorists threatened him and pointed their guns at his head. The conditions were "intolerable" according to the French spy, "the water was stored in cans of petrol and it was very bad but I had no choice. The same goes for food," he added.
The statements of Pierre Camatte to "El Pais" reveal that he had been sent on missions in order to spy the organization of Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), as when he said he had counted the elements of the group that held him, he also estimated their ages and talked about other details and data in a specific language known only by members of the intelligence services.
