Ghaza: Israeli air strike, two injured
JERUSALEM - Israeli warplanes early Friday bombed several targets in the Ghaza strip, causing two minor injuries, said an officials Palestinian security services and witnesses.
- The strikes took place some hours after Palestinian rocket fire from Ghaza into southern Israel, killing one farm worker.
Israeli aircraft targeted a workshop in the town of Ghaza, three smuggling tunnels under the border with Egypt, and two open areas.
Two people were slightly injured.
The Israeli army made no immediate comment.
Shortly before the strike, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had spoken by telephone with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, with whom he discussed "specific actions that could be taken" by the Israelis and Palestinians "to improve the atmosphere for progress towards peace ".
