Mandela’s granddaughter killed in a road accident
CAPE TOWN (South Africa) - The granddaughter of Nelson Mandela, aged 13, was killed in a car accident early Friday after the opening concert of football world Cup, said the office of the Former South African president.
- "Zenani Mandela, 13, was returning by car from the opening concert of the World Cup at Orlando Stadium, when the accident occurred. Only one car was involved and no one else was hurt," said the Mandela Foundation in a statement.
- "Zenani, who celebrated his 13th birthday on June 9, was the eldest child of Zoleka Seakamela and one of nine granddaughters of Mr. Nelson Mandela," the statement added.
