RABAT - A network described as "terrorist" and directed by a Palestinian was dismantled in Morocco on Monday by security services, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior.

  •    This "network consists of 11 followers and led by a Palestinian (...) planned to commit terrorist acts inside the country," the statement said.
  •    The text adds that the network members are "followers of the jihadi thought takfirist.
  •    Osama's ideology is defended by a violent current in Morocco, which believes that society and its rulers are infidels who have strayed from the straight path. Ideology of takfirist appeared in Egypt in the mid 70s.
  •    More than 2,000 suspected militants had been arrested and convicted in Morocco after the attacks of May 16, 2003 in Casablanca. Five suicide bombings, including the bloodiest in a restaurant, killed 45 people, including 12 suicide bombers, and injured many more.
