U.S. Secretary of Justice makes a surprise visit in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Secretary for Justice Eric Holder arrived Wednesday in Kabul to meet Afghan officials and U.S. to enhance cooperation in the fight against crime, said the Ministry of Justice in Washington.

  •    "The fight against corruption and support for the rule of law in Afghanistan are the top priorities of this government and we continue to help the Afghan government in creating and maintaining a penal system to which the people of Afghanistan has the right," said Mr. Holder in a press release from Kabul.
  •    At the head of the Department of Justice Eric Holder exercises also the function of guardianship services, such as the federal police (FBI) and Anti-drug Agency (AED).
