Three Palestinians were wounded Tuesday in an Israeli air raid conducted in the north of Ghaza Strip in response to rocket attacks on Israeli territory, according to medical sources and witnesses.

  •     Three policemen of Hamas, movement that controls Ghaza, were injured in the raid. It was a group of fighters but they have managed to escape, according to witnesses.

A spokesman for the Israeli army confirmed the raid, saying it was “a group who had just learned two rockets” on southern Israel.

In the morning, two more rockets were fired into southern Israel from northern Ghaza Strip, without any casualties, according to the army.

The Israeli army conducted from 27 December to 18 January an offensive in the Ghaza Strip, killing more than 1,300 Palestinian most of them children and women, in an attempt to stop the firing of rockets and mortars from the territory.

But since the ceasefire, more than 150 of such devices were fired on Israel, causing numerous Israeli air strikes in retaliation.
