Abbas/Meshaal meeting on government postponed

Ramallah (Palestinian Territories) - A meeting scheduled for Tuesday in Cairo between Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal to finalize the formation of a government has been postponed, said Sunday a Palestinian leader in Ramallah (West Bank).

  •    "The meeting is postponed until a new date in the coming days to ensure the best possible atmosphere for the successful implementation of the reconciliation agreement" between Fatah and Hamas, told AFP a Fatah official.
  •    Hamas, in power in the Ghaza Strip, declined to immediately comment.
