- The Arab foreign ministers will meet to discuss the events in Syria, said Sheikh Mohammad Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah at a press conference, adding that consultations were under way to set a date to the meeting.
- At the Cairo meeting last September, Arab Ministers of Foreign Affairs had just called on Syrian authorities to end the bloodshed.
- Nearly 3,000 people, all civilians, have been killed since March in Syria, prey to a vast protest movement against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad.
