The Syrian army has committed crimes against humanity in violently repressing the demonstrations against the regime which have caused thousands of deaths and injuries since the beginning of the popular contest in mid-March, according to an international survey on violence in Syria

- According to its report, the UN Committee would be very worried by the fact that crimes against humanity were committed in several parts of the country during this period. The three members of that committee, composed of UN experts, responsible for conducting this investigation accused the military of these abuses.
