- Violent clashes took place Saturday at dawn in Damascus between the army, security officers and deserters near the buildings of the governor of the city, security policy and the direction of police.
- Seven soldiers and members of the security forces, including an officer, perished in the clashes, which also killed five civilians and deserters. The clashes are multiplying across the country between the loyalist army and deserters who joined the popular protest.
- In the province of Deraa, in southern Syria, a civilian was killed and five others were seriously wounded by gunfire from the security services who were conducting a search, said the OSDH.
