The outgoing president of Congo (DRC), Joseph Kabila, won Friday the presidential election in one round which took place on November 28, announced the Independent National Electoral Commission.

- According to provisional results announced by the President of the Commission, Daniel Ngoy Mulunda, Joseph Kabila, first elected in 2006, won the election with 48.95% of the vote, and that, against his opponent Etienne Tshisekedi 78, who won 32.33% of the vote.
