London refuses to negotiate with El Qaeda

The British authorities refused the conditions of the ...El Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb ', commanded by Abu Mosaâb Abdelouadoud, concerning the release of the terrorist Abu Qatada El Filastini,... leader of terrorist groups, in addition to the payment of a ransom against the release of the British tourist ...Edwin D.... retained by the terrorist organization since the beginning of the year in northern Mali.

  • Abu Qatada El Filastini is considered as a reference to the armed organization in the world. The latter had already produced a fetwa against Algerians in the nineties. He was the first to allow the massacres perpetrated by Djamel Zitouni and his successor Antar Zouabri.

Abu Qatada El Filastini is in prison in England where he is serving a sentence of life imprisonment for his involvement in attacks against the American School, the Hotel ‘El Quds’ in Jordan and also for planning to commit attacks in places frequented by tourists. He was arrested in London in October 2002.

The British Foreign Office has already announced earlier that it was studying the demand of the organization ‘El Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb’ on the threat of liquidation of the English tourist. The ministry has announced that British Government policy is very clear on the issue of hostages and there was no question of negotiating with the kidnappers or to accept applications for ransom. “We will make no concessions to kidnappers.”

This confirms the refusal of London to negotiate with the terrorist organization on the release of the terrorist Abu Qatada. London refuses to pay ransom for the release of British citizen two weeks only from the end of the ultimatum posed by the terrorist organization before the execution of the hostage.

The ‘El Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb’ had previously threatened to liquidate the English hostage within 20 days in case of refusal of British authorities to release the terrorist Abu Qatada, after the release of European hostages and Canadian Robert Fowler and Louis Guay, the Swiss Gabrielle Greiner and the German Marianne Petzold, against payment of a ransom of 05 million Euro.

According to sources well informed of the case, the negotiations were held for the first time in Burkina Faso through the Mauritanian businessman Abdullah Chafei, a relative of the President of Burkina Faso and Kaddafi Seif El Islam, son of Mouamar Kaddafi, the head of the Libyan revolution.

The decision by the British authorities was a surprise, especially since all the other countries involved in the taking of hostages have paid huge sums for their release. These sums of money that are used by the terrorists to purchase arms and munitions that kill Algerian people.

Furthermore, countries like Mali, Niger, Libya and Burkina Faso which form an evil alliance, working together to ensure the terrorist organization in the region by providing protection and freedom of movement in the Sahel, after the easy gain represented in ransoms paid by Western countries that they share with the terrorist organization. Organization whose goal is the easy and fast gain, maintains a very close relationship with the traffickers and smugglers.
