14 armed terrorists sentenced to death in absentia

Fourteen armed terrorist fugitives were sentenced to death in absentia Tuesday by the Algerian authorities, for terrorism, according to agency APS.

•     Thirteen sentences were handed down by the Criminal Court of Tizi Ouzou, 50 km east of Algiers for membership in a terrorist armed group, carrying prohibited weapon, kidnapping with ransom and murder, said APS .
  
      Another armed terrorist, A. Abdelhakim, arrested and tried in the same case was sentenced to ten years in prison.
  
      The fourteenth terrorist was sentenced to death in absentia by the Court of Criminal Boumerdes 50 km east of Algiers, according to the same source.
  
      Several other terrorists were sentenced to life imprisonment or death or by the Algerian authorities for various acts of terrorism.
