El Qaeda threatens to kill the British hostage and negotiates with London
The ...El Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb... has announced a deadline of 15 days for the British negotiator before killing the British tourist who is held by the organization since the beginning of the year.
- In addition, the organization AQMI said in a statement, of which Ennahar holds a copy this Thursday that its decision to extend the period before the implementation of its threat against the tourist came after the request presented by the British negotiator to allow regularization of the file.
- The organization says that when its elements will execute the threat next time, Britain will assume full responsibility for its injustice against sheikh ‘Abou Qatada El Filastini’, alias Mohamed Abou Omar (aged 48).
Abou Qatada is now under house arrest in Britain after the Home Office in UK has appealed to the Supreme Court decision last February against his freedom. The latter made an appeal after the decision of his extradition to Jordan.
The ‘El Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb’ has asked the family of the hostage to exercise pressure on the government, adding that the deadline will not be repeated and that it is the last chance for them and for the government before carrying out the threat.
