Tizi Ouzou: 03 terrorists sentenced to life for the kidnapping of a businessman
The criminal court of Tizi Ouzou sentenced in absentia three terrorists; Deghni Abdallah, Othmani Rabah and Djemaï Abderrahmane, accused of membership in terrorist armed groups and the kidnapping in order to ask for ransom.
- The facts date back to last year, time of the kidnapping in which the victim was a businessman and trader B. Mohamed, who was held hostage in a cave by terrorists during a month, until the payment of the ransom.
On the first March of last year, came to the brigade of the gendarmerie of Draâ Ben Khedda the named B. Amokrane to announce the kidnapping of his brother B. Mohamed on his way home with his son to ‘El Souk Tnine.’ Terrorists, after having blindfolded, have put him in his car’s case and took him with them.
Before court, the victim said that his captors recite the Koran and pray in group. When the army began bombing the area, they left the cave on 08 April and went to 'Ighil El Mal’ where they had abandoned him. The terrorists then boarded a mini bus for transport. The victim identified his captors on the photos that the security services have shown. The latter was released against payment of a ransom estimated at 800 million centimes.
