Algeria authorizes additional flights to Aigle Azur from Paris

ALGIERS- Algeria has authorized twelve additional flights to the French airline Aigle Azur

  • Algeria has authorized twelve additional flights to the French airline Aigle Azur from Paris and three cities in the country from 26 June to 15 July, announced Sunday an official source.

         Three flights Aigle Azur, from Paris-Orly and to Algeria, had been cancelled between 22 and 24 June, the leadership of the Algerian civil aviation has not validated these flights.

         The Department of Transport said in a statement granting permission to new flights to the French company from Paris to Algeria from 26 June to 15 July.

         “Aigle Azur provides three flights Paris-Oran 1, 8 and 15 July 2009, 3 flights Paris-Algiers on June 26, 4 and 11 July and 6 flights Paris-Bejaia on 29 and 30 June, 6, 7, 13 and 14 July,” the ministry said in a statement.

          These flights are in addition to previous programs of this company, this source said, adding that the rest of the program beyond July 15 is still under consideration. Flight Oran-Paris, Algiers-Paris and Bejaia-Paris “will be empty,” said the ministry.

        Aigle Azur, owned by “Go Fast” group, specializes in logistics, tourism and transport services currently serves thirteen airports in Algeria, “flagship” of the company.
