• Arab Water Ministers have adopted Monday in Algiers a global strategy up to 2025 to achieve water security in the Arab region, while stressing the need to monitor the implementation of the decisions of the Arab economic summit held in Kuwait, and strive to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
• This global strategy adopted by the first session of the Arab Water Ministers Council is intended to achieve water security, focusing in particular on the development of an Arab water resources database, the protection of Arab water rights and curbing the effects of climate change in the Arab world.
