• According to sources of Ennahar, the explosion of a bomb on the heights of the region Irraguène, 70 km west of the department of Jijel, killed one soldier and seriously wounding another. The wounded soldier was evacuated to the military hospital "Didouche Mourad" in Constantine.
  
  The same sources added that this cowardly terrorist attack occurred during a major search operation conducted by the army forces on the heights of this region following information on the presence of terrorist element.
