A ransom of 150 Millions, otherwise he would blow up the buildings of ...Djezzy... and ...Nedjma...

Two accused people bound to terrorism appeared, last night, before the justice in Algiers for several accusations of which the most serious was the attempt to make a bomb explode in the city El Fidaa in the urban security building in El Harrach as well as the central sieges of the mobile telephony operators " Nedjma " and " Djezzy ", in addition to ...Mercure... hotel in Bab Ezzouar, according to the depositions of this latter in police's PV as well as before the justice.

The criminal court of the courthouse of Algiers pronounced, yesterday, in two different cases concerning the threats received by the company of telecommunication ‘Nedjma’ concerning the temptation to make its siege blow, as well as the one of ‘Djezzy and ‘Mercure’ hotel, in the case of refusal to pay for a ransom required by the accused, after a telephonic call, in which he had uttered some threats, valued to 150 Millions cents or to attend him to join Tchetchenia for Djihad.

The facts of this first case coincided with the second. To note that the two accused persons come from a same region, the township of El Harrach El in Algiers. The first case goes back to January 8, when an inhabitant of the city declared that the so called K. Adnan had asked him to leave the city on January 10, date of the execution of the operation. Whereas for the second case, the accused L. Mohamed Islam, had contacted Nedjma establishment on January 06, 2008, menacing to make explode the building if they refuse to pay him a ransom estimated of 150 millions cents. The strip recorded of the communication has been presented to the services of security by the representative of the company Nedjma for investigations on the accused identity who had revealed his name at the time of this communication while using his own telephone.

The Accused L. Mohamed Islam didn't try to deny the facts of which he was accused, pretending to have acted under the effect of alcohol. He added that he had not measured the gravity of his acts. Whereas the second accused K. Adnan, he denied the accusations before the justice, pretending that he had never asked anyone to avoid being in the district or close to the building of the security forces that was surrounded by more than 5000 inhabitants according to his sayings including his old parents. Adding that in that case, he would have started saving his parents before making it for someone else. The attorney general has required 5 years of jails against L. Mohamed Islam, for apology of terrorism, and 10 years in against the second accused K. Adnan for the same chiefs of indictment. After deliberations, K. Adnan was acquitted for the chief of accusation of apology of crime and attempts to make blow the building of the urban security, whereas L. Mohamed Islam, he had one year of firm jail for threat.
