This is why Mohammed Er-rahdj was executed

Algiers- Saâdouda Abdelkader, Mujahid from “Hamrelaïne”, the region where lived Mohamed Bounedjma, alias Mohammed Er-rahdj, father of Khaled Bounedjma, declared that the head of information during the liberation war in the Forth Department in Hamrelaïne, specifically in “Houche Aguettaf,” had in 1956, informed of the existence of traitors, collaborators of the French army in the region. The latter had warned about the need to take action against these people.

  • The Mudjahid Saâdouda, in a statement to Ennahar, added that the head of the information cited the names of collaborators, among others Kara Abdallah and Mohammed Bounedjma, nicknamed “Boudjemaa Er-rahdj.” The latter emphasized in this context that the named Heniche Mohammed had informed him that there were collaborators who activated in the region. He added that measures should be taken. He also warned him not to receive Kara Abdallah or Mohammed Er-rahdj, who had caused the death of three Mujahidins, among them the Mudjahid Guettaf at the place called "Djenane Etchina.”

Mr Saâdouda added that following the treason which had harmed the Mujahidins in the region by the named Kara Abdallah and Boudjemaa rahdj-Er, a trial was held and the two collaborators had been sentenced by the responsible for the region Laskri Zoubir, alias Senassi Bouslimani.

In addition, information received by Ennahar proved that the Algerian authorities in the sixties, had, through a decree, added the names of relatives executed for treason against the nation on the list of Martyrs. A step, by the authorities of the nation at the time, to reunite the people and end the bitterness and hatred born during the war of liberation.

According to information received by Ennahar, the introduction of the name of Bounedjma on the list of beneficiaries has come under arrangements made by the late President Houari Boumediene in order to avoid any confrontation between the two parties.

On the other hand, the denial by Khaled Bounedjma of the contents of the document published by Ennahar in a previous edition, confirms the collaboration of his father Boudjemaa Er-rahdj with the French colonialism.

Khaled had said that his father was known before his death, under the name of Mohammed Boudjemaa. Nine years later, his name had been changed by court order issued by a court in El Koléa to become Mohammed Bounedjma. On the other hand, Khaled had said that the document issued by the Ministry of Mujahidins to his father, considered Chahid according to its terms, included the name Mohammed Bounedjima, and that the name of his father before his execution was Mohammed Bounedjma. The name was changed nine years later which makes people ask more than a question!

This looks strange since, none of the chouhada have seen their name changed after their death by their relatives. The fact is that Khaled Bounedjma has resorted to change the name of his father in order to avoid any problems that could arise in the future.
