2009-2010 : 88, 000 billion dinars in welfare transfers

Algiers- A budget worth AD 88,048 billion has been allocated by the State in welfare transfers for 2009-2010 new season, Minister of National Solidarity, Family and national community abroad Djamel Ould Abbès said Saturday in Algiers.

• "A budget of DZD88,048 billion has been allocated by the State in welfare transfers, encompassing the costs of 2009-2010 school and university new year and actions of solidarity with the needy during Ramadan," Ould Abbes told a news conference during which he evaluated the operation of solidarity this month. Concerning the issue of updating social safety net beneficiary lists, the minister said that 99,069 beneficiaries were removed from lists, including 6,079 for reasons of death (2009).
