Swine flu has killed 3,917 people worldwide
Geneva (Switzerland)- More than 3,917 people have died of swine flu in 191 countries and territories around the world since the disease outbreak last March, the World Health Organization (WHO) disclosed on Friday.
- According to the WHO, the number of the epidemic has caused 331 more deaths compared to the organization's recent toll, released a weak ago. The preceding death toll stood at 3,486.
- The influenza A (H1N1) continues to be the most widespread flu virus worldwide. Swine flu is further spreading as it accounts for 76% of the new flu cases recorded between 6 and 12 September, underlined the WHO according to information gathered in about twenty countries affected by the epidemic.
