Compulsory education for children between 6 to 16

Algiers- The Ministre of Education has reiterated Sunday that the right to education was guaranteed by the Constitution and that "education is compulsory for all Algerian children aged from 06 to 16.

• In a note addressed to the directors and inspectors of education and heads of educational institutions all levels combined, the department argues that "careful monitoring education and continuing education of our children in different levels of education is extremely important in terms of social dimensions and that, in applying the laws of the Republic and the consecration of the principle of equal opportunities.
