traffic accident : 37 schoolchildren injured in Constantine
Constantine (Algeria) Thirty-seven schoolchildren were injured in a road accident Thursday morning in the province of Constantine (431-km east of Algiers), a National Gendarmerie's communiqué said.
- The children, from the town of Ibn-Ziad's education facilities, were aboard a school bus when the driver lost control of the vehicle, at 7:00 am, on the road linking Ibn-Ziad to the twon of Oued El-Athmania, in an area called El-Anab.
- The roadway becoming smaller as the school bus driver was passing a tanker coming from the opposite direction was behind the accident, according to the source.
