URGENT Tunisia: 26 illegal immigrants missing in the sinking of a boat

Twenty-six people are missing and 9 others were rescued after the sinking, near Tunis, of a boat carrying illegal migrants to Italy, reported AFP from local authorities.

•     The boat was shipwrecked in the night of Sunday to Monday with 35 migrants on board, all Tunisian illegal migrants, according to the same source.
  
      Among the survivors, five have reached the coast by swimming and four others were rescued at sea a few kilometers off the coast of Marsa, a suburb north of Tunis, added the same source.
