Surrender of a terrorist leader from "Katibet Ennasr"

Algiers- According to local security sources, the terrorist who surrendered to the services of the national gendarmerie last week in the province of Saïda was the assistant of the emir of "Katibet Ennasr," one of the most dangerous terrorist groups in the west since the time of the Armed Islamic Group (GIA).

• The latter would have provided information on the internal situation of the group which is under the banner of the terrorist organization “Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat,” led by Abdelmalek Droukdal (Abu Mosaab Abdelouadoud), which is under a high pressure from the army, encirclement, disease, lack of staff and endless infighting for leadership.
  
  According to sources close to the investigation, the terrorist named "B. Mahmoud, born in 1959 in El-Amoura, surrendered to the services of the national gendarmerie a few days after the elimination of the named "Nadir Abu Adnan,” in the region of Hassi Fdoul, province of Djelfa. The latter had informed the security services on the internal situation of the terrorist group after the dismantling of several supporting cells in Saïda, which activated on the territories of the municipalities of Moulay Larbi and Hessassna, and infighting because of leadership and loot.
  
  Mahmoud was the right arm of the emir 'B. Khaled" alias "Abu Zoheir" and was considered by experts of the security file, as the "black box" for the position he has held within the terrorist organization for many years. he would have provided security services in important information under which the army forces began extensive combing operations.
  
  The repentant terrorist is one of the earliest to join the mountains and is one of the most important activists of the dissolved party. He joined terrorism in 1995 within Katibet Ennasr in Saïda where many terrorist operations have been made including the axis of Ben Drif, Oued Falit, Sidi M'barek, Safsaf and El Merdja until the Red Lake of Sidi Boubkeur. Those riminal acts had targeted both civilians and soldiers in several terrorist operations and in fake checkpoints. This Katibat was behind the massacre of 20 people at Hassi El-Abd.
  
  The surrender of Mahmoud B. is regarded as a painful blow to the terrorist organization of the “Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat” (GSPC) led by Abdelmalek Droukdal who focused on the western region to resume terrorist activities after the tightening of the noose around groups in the central region of the country. In this sense, he was about to appoint a regional emir in the west and Bilal Ennadir Abou Adnane, eliminated in Hassi Fdoul in Djelfa, was the candidate for this position.
