A/H1N1 influenza: 14 new cases diagnosed in Algeria
Algiers- Fourteen new cases of A/H1N1 influenza have been confirmed Saturday in Algeria, the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform announced in a release.
- The swine flu was diagnosed on two foreign nationals in Oran (432 km west of Algiers) aged 28 and 41, two cases ''probably related to an outbreak of local transmission of H1N1 virus,'' the ministry pointed out.
- The other cases concern a 57-year old man living in Tizi-Ouzou (101 km east of Algiers) who recently returned from France, and five other people in Medea (91 km east of Algiers), ''all in contact with already confirmed cases living in the same housing block,'' the source added.
